Da Vinci Code Contreversy?

Alright i know this is a tough subject but i wanted to express my view on it.First, i have read both the Da Vinci Code and The Bible.
Many people are freaking out over the release of this movie, the reason is because it hypothesisies that Jesus was married and had a child. I personally have no problem with this notion. Why should it be wrong and for the most it helps me to believe in him even more. But the critics who know "everthing about Jesus and the Bible" say this is not how it happened. Well thats kinda weird that they know stuff that is not written in the bible. The Bible does not say one way or the other if Jesus was married or single. But if he were a rabbi as the Bible states, then according to the laws at the time he would have had to been married.
I know what some people are going to say, "the bible was written by god and all the books that belong are in it." Well its kinda funny since the Bible was compiled 300 years after Jesus' death and out of 100 books we only got 43. The truth is the books in the bible was compiled by a french bishop to counter a set by a priest in Egypt.

Just got the new Saves the Day album: Sound The Alarm. well what can i say cause i am disapointed. i know musicians are supposed to grow and stuff but you also got to stay true to what got you fans in the first place. i mean their new album is better then the last but not by much.

Alright boys and girls we have have an awesome rumor circulating the internet that Bungie is developing a Halo related game for the 360 called Forerunner. The game supposedly has open enviroments with non linear missions. It will use a "modified Halo 2 engine."

Now i would love to believe any of this but we are to close to April fools day. So put this in a file at the back of your mind till E3 in may.

While reading about the violence in Iraq last week i came across a portion of news that the "real" news is covering up. Soldiers found the bodies of Iraqis shot threw the head on the side of the road. I find this very interesting, why would they all be shot through the head and their transport destroyed. My reasoning is that this may have been a small zombie outbreak. The story does not tell if the victims had any bite or scratch marks on their bodies.

I will keep you posted if any more possible attacks are read or heard about.

Halo 2's flaws

Alright i love Halo but there are so many fundamental flaws in it that just pisses me off and here is a list of them.

1.) Sword lunge - i hate the sword lunge so bad because it is so random. my favorite is when i lunge first and i get killed what the hell. Or you lunge from behind and miss then get assinated come on.

2.) Hit targeting - yep i just shot that guy in the head with full clip in a rumble rifles match just to have one gernade kill me B.S. And hitting some one with a stick gernade and watching it fall off of them amazing

3.) Racist assclowns - This is not Bungie's fault. I just hate all of the people who are pricks and douschebags on the game, i personally hope they get aids or cancer and all die.

4.) Fiesta matches - This is by far the worst idea ever in the entire history of FPSs. I call this match cum fiesta because its like watching a bukakee video, ya wanna make out with the girl but still feel dirty thinking about it, thats how i feel when playing in one of these matches.

Sorry for the rant but i just can't stand the idiocy of Hatleo 2 sometimes.

Alright i will be updating my blog with pics from Super Bowl Sunday and the Steelers Victory Parade hopefully soon just waiting for the pics to get developed. And yes this has been the best week EVER with the Steelers winning the Super Bowl and then the parade. Plus after the parade i got to hold one of the baddest weapons on the Earth, a 50 caliber sniper rifle. just badass.

Now that i am back i Cal i've been spending a little too much time at the bar. But I have not become an alcoholic, i just like spending time with my friends Scott, Bob, Heath, Mizz, and Monica. Two best bars in town are J coles and Lagerheads.

On friday Scott, bob, Heath, Brandon, tommy, smitty, and i went down to J coles and watched the worst band ever. All i got to say is i had to drink alot to make them sound any good but the good news is that scott, bob, and heath are going to start a band i think the bar might react to their band like this.

Monty Python is the greatest comedy group ever. Yes I know it is my opinion but if you ever watch a few episodes of Monty Python's Flying Circus, you'd see why i think that. Why i like it is because it is weird and it could touch issues that were radical for its time(1969-74) in one sketch and in the next be completly silly.

My favorite episode is "Ant,the inroduction" with sketches like a man with taperecorder up his nose,a spanish song about llamas,Kilimanjaro expedition, and the lumberjack song.

Steelers move on in playoffs

Well the Steelers proved yesterday who the true AFC North champion this year was with a 31-17 beatdown of the Bungles. And i know what all their fans are saying "we would of beat you with Palmer in." We will never know, But you had a chance to win the game but you let stupid mistakes and a rumored fight between Chad Johnson and your Wide recievers coach destroy any chance of winning. So before you make a rap video and talk shit, PLAY THE GAME AND WIN!

But the Steelers looked great in the second half of the game, though kinda slow in the first. We can only hope that they can beat Indy.

Movies worth watchin'

While doing my lazy slacking at my parents house i checked to see what was playing on Starz and its subsequent channels. I came across two of the collest movies i have seen in awhile. The first being:

Dark City (1998)
The movie is about a guy who has amnesia and is acused of murder. But as he regains his memories he discovers that he is being framed by a group of aliens, who want to dicover what makes us human. Its very similar to "The Matrix" except i'd have to say i liked this movie better. It had a more consistant storyline and plus the use of telekinetics also no fruity 40 minute dance segments.

Rating: A-

Series 7: The Contenders (2001)
This movie takes on the reality show genre by focusing on a fake game show called The Contenders. What makes it different than others is that the in game the contestents have to kill each other to win the game. Cool ways of killing people in this movie. Though the special effects could be better i still liked this alot.

Rating: B+

I definatly recomend checking these movies out.

I was reading today that the mayor of Toronto Canada has a person to blame for a shooting that took place the day after christmas. He blames the good ole US of A. This is hilarious. He says because we have such "lacking gun laws, now gun violence is coming north to Canada." Well thats kinda of funny we have some of the better gun laws in affect. Hell you can't get a gun legally here without first registering to get carring permit, then geting a backround check, then registering the weapon. Hell some people even want us to register the bullets. But hey i guess i am wrong maybe we do have bad laws. But this is common, most foreign countries and some "intellectuals" in this country seem to think the america causes everything bad. Well if we cause everything bad why does it happen in your country and why people in your country want to come to america to escape the bad things. Maybe just maybe it's your OWN damn fault. Look at the crime stats for american cities, the rates are going down, not because they are going to other countries but because we have police officers who are doing something about it. And hey heres an idea, if guns are coming into your country from the US, why not have some one inspect the cars and trucks coming in to your country.

Now don't take this as an anti-canada thing. I like people from Canada. They have given us great things like the name Doug, hockey, hairstyle most likely the mullet (though i hear there was ancient tribe of people called Rednecks that had them too), lumberjacks including the guy on Bounty papertowels, the bare naked ladies, Pamela Anderson, many prowrestlers, and so on. But please stop the whining and tell your politicians to do some thing and if he isn't to reelect him because he says Blame America.

Good Reading: Legion of the lost

I got the book Legion of the Lost by Jaime Salazar over the holidays. This is a really cool book. It is the true experience of an american guy serving in the French Foreign Legion. It tells how he got fed up with working in a corporate setting and joined the Legion. The Legion sounds really hard but cool at the same time. When joining they give you a new identity and you serve for five years. it is a really cool book so check it out.

I just got my new copy of National Review today and i read in there that the National Institute on Drug Abuse is researching a anti-drug "vaccine". This vaccine would use the immune system to counter act the psychoactive effects of drugs. Now i'm for control of certain drugs, but this goes beyond drug control this is mind control.
I agree with Jacob Sullum, the senior editor of Reason magizine, about policy expermentation on the state level. The states should try different policies for drugs produced,sold, and consumed in the states borders. This would maybe help allievate black market violence, property damage, health hazards and gangs. Also it would help to cut down on the $40 billion dollars a year the Federal goverment is spending in a failing drug war. Half of the 1.7 milion drug arrests a year are marijuana related. This is a group of people we are now paying taxes to support in jail just because they like weed. If only the congress and supreme court respected the constitution, because these are matters the state should take care of not the federal goverment.

While reading The Economist today i learned that they are using video games for medical reasons now. Basically, doctors are using games to help rehabilitate patients suffering from phobias, stroke victim, and people who have ADD. Here is a similar article from USAtoday.

Also of note Guitar Hero is featured in this week's edition of Newsweek. It talks about how rythm games could become huge in America as they are in Japan. Check out the article here.

Things i hate (rant)

Alright as you all know from my previous post about my birthday, i went to the bar this weekend (alot) Well i learned i hate certain things about the bar.
1.)50 year old women hiting on college guy. No you should not be doing this. You're to damn old to be in a college bar on a friday night, you should be asleep or with some old dude i mean if you' re old enough to be my mother i don't want to be hit on by the likes of what the f*ck!

2.) Nasty chicks who wear low cut dresses - This is just disgusting. If you're not good looking don't wear a low cut dress and please do not put your cell phone in your nasty ass clevege. what do you think some guy is going to walk up to you and go "hey nice phone ahuhuh" no you know why because they will be hiting on the girls who are good looking or are cool.

My next rant is on my work or atleast the customers.
3.) Guys ordering the "Macho" meal - Where i work we have a triple chees burger meal called the "macho" meal. Well it seems everytime i work a group of doushebags come in and buys atleast four of these meals. Though the best is when a guy comes with a girl and to try and impress her, he buy the "Macho" meal. You know what we think of these "manly" men, i laugh at them. They ain't hard or tuff, these guys are weak.

4.) People coming in 3 minutes till close - All i got to say to them is PISS OFF!

Review: Battlefield: Modern Combat

I got this game for my birthday. It is probably the second best shooter for the xbox right now after Halo. The single player mode is good but it is too short. The reason the game is sweet though is the multiplayer. It is totally different than Halo in this respect that spawn points are not randomly generated but actual flags you have to fight for which i like. The other cool part is there are so many different types of vehicles. My favorite online maps are Backstab, Blackgold, and Coldfront. Best kit to play as has to be either assualt or special forces. I would definatly recomend buying this game.

I know i know i haven't posted in awhile(a week to be exact) but i 'm back. Well last week was my birthday and it was freakin sweet. Tuesday i got to hang out with my friends Scott, J, and Heath. The best part was watching them rock out the Guitar Hero and then play Halo with them. Wensday i got The Devil's Rejects on DVD and also Battlefield 2: modern combat. I 'll review Battlefield later. I also learned why i hate certain parts of winter. DAMN the FLU! Friday Heath, Tommy, Mike, and scott took me out for my birthday which was awesome. We all drank and had good time at J. Coles. Heath got like three chicks numbers and we found out women like big furry hats haha. Saturday i went to my work's christmas party and again drank had a good time. I got to hang out with my friends Lerae, Ted, and Scott. And this week is finals week so yeah.

Halo 2: arena an all multiplayer game They could use the maps that are already out for it and use some from the orgianl halo like boarding action. They could create a browsable list of all the custom games and keep the playlists too. But most of all create like 20 new maps. I know it won't happen but i can wish. Plus i'm horrible at the game anyways.

10.)Battlestar Galactica Season 2 - I was only able to catch a few when they were running on scifi. Plus its easier to watch a whole season on dvd anyways. Can't wait till season 3 in January.

9.)The Muppet Movie :anniversary edition - Classic movie with oddball storyline. Also it has one great song inRainbow Connection. Bear right Frog left hahaha.

8.)The Simpsons Seasons 4 thru 6 - I've already got the first three seasons. Season 4 is a must buy because it was the first with episodes written by Conan O'brien.

7.)Star Wars: the classic trilogy - Do i really need to explain this, one of the greatest movie series ever made. I may buy the prequels.

6.)Lost Season 1 - I started watching the second season and i am hooked. I wanna check outhow some of the current storylines were started.

5.)Duel to the Death - Story of the legendary fighting competiton between china and japan. Ninjas and samurai plus an impaled talking head BAD ASS!

4.)Black Adder: the complete collection - Comedy show from the 80's starring Rowan Atkinson (aka Mr. Bean) The show tells the story of one man's family from the middle ages to World War one.

Cool books to read: JLA : Earth 2

JLA : Earth 2 is written by Grant Morrison and drwan by Frank Quitely who are working on right now All Star Superman. The story which is set in modern continuity of an earth in the anti matter universe. This helps reintroduce the Crime Syndakit of Amerika, which is the evil version of the Justice League. I say reintroduce because the Crime Syndakit was around before but were earsed by the events of the Crisis on Infinite Earths. Every major hero in the story has an evil "clone" for instance Ultraman is the evil version of Superman. My personal favorite is Johnny Quick, who gets his seed from a drug, the evil version of the Flash. Recently the Crime Synadakit appeared in JSA Classified issue 3.

Crisis on Infinite Earths

This is the greatest cross over story in comic book history. It is the story of the death of the multiverse and how the current DC universe came to be. This story is gripping even twenty years later, with the deaths of the Flash, Supergirl, and so many others. But it also showed why the Superman of Earth-2 was the greatest hero of them all.
The Multiverse was composed of Earths 1,2,3, 4,x, and s and many more. Earth-1 is where most of the silver age superheroes and the JLA appeared. This is what most of modern continuity. Earth-2 is where all of the superheroes of the 1930's and 40's appeared, which include the orginal supermanand the JSA lived. These two earths first collided together when the Flash of Earth-1 crossed over to Earth-2 and met the Flash of Earth-2 . The Justice League first met the Justice Society in "Crisis on Earth-1, Crisis on Earth -2".
By the end of Crisis of Infinite earths, there was only one earth and the Justice Society became the superhero team of World War 2 and the Justice League became the superhero team of the modern day.
This is truly one comic book you have to check out. Go out and buy the tradepaperback copy or get the novel based on the comics. There also is a sequel being written right now by Geoff Johns the best writer in comics today. Check it out too.

Gunther is a pop music star, whose music is sweeping across Europe. He looks like Kip Dynamite with a mullet but he does get the chicks. His two biggest songs are "Ding Dong Song" and "Tutti Fruiti Summerlove". He definatly has some of the more sexual lyrics but they definatly kick ass!

Shows to Watch: The Mighty Boosh

This is one of the craziest comedy shows i 've ever seen. The show is about the adventures of Howard and Vince, as they travel through time and space. In one episode that i saw they were driving through the forest of death and they pick up a hitchhiker that tries to feed them to the animal in his evil zoo. But are rescued by the bear they had been transported because it hated bass guitar. haha

In the other episode i saw they were looking for the Egg of Mantumbi with Gary Numan. While searching in the artic they encountered an Ice Demon called Black Frost.While guarding their tent at night Vince gets lost during the night and befriends a polar bear.

In my favorite episode though Howard is ordered by his boss to fight a kangroo to help raise money for the zoo that he and Vince work at. Hilarity ensues as he is trained by Vince's uncle via montage video. Howard also asks for help from Naboo the shaman who gives him "magical dust". The visions he sees are crazy.
